William Hunter
Deputy Manager - Shore House – Mental Health & Wellbeing ServicesWith a career in Health and Social Care spanning over the last 13 years, I have enjoyed supporting people in a variety of roles and settings. I first progressed into management as a Deputy Manager back in 2017, where I worked in a residential home for adults with complex needs and challenging behaviours. I then worked in a children's home, moved over to substance misuse services, and am now the Deputy Manager here at Shore House, which is a high support mental health supported accommodation service, with dual diagnosis clients.
I really enjoy my role and the project I work in due to our diverse range of clients, our supportive staff team and the cause for which we support and put all our hard work and time into, really appreciating what BHT provides as an organisation. As a staff team we enjoy being ourselves, celebrating our quirks and qualities, and creating the second family feel that a good workplace needs. It's a fast pace role, where no two days are the same, and certainly never dull - just the way I like it!
Alongside my employment, I am a trainee Integrative Counsellor, currently in my final year of studies before accreditation.
