Fixed Term Contract to support with the mobilisation of the West Sussex Mental Health Support Service.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Mobilisation Project Manager to play a vital role in providing support with the mobilisation of our West Sussex Mental Health Support Service.
Position: Mobilisation Project Manager
Location: West Sussex
Salary: £43,519 per annum, pro rata
Hours: 18 hours per week
Contract: Fixed-Term Contract (4 months FTC)

About West Sussex Mental Health Support Service:
BHT Sussex has recently been awarded the contract to be Lead Provider for Mental Health Support Services in West Sussex. This new high-profile service will work to deliver improved mental health outcome for people in West Sussex working closely with subcontracted VCSE organisations and SPFT our NHS specialist provider. MHSS are an integral part of the emerging neighbourhood mental health teams and the ongoing transformation of community mental health services in Sussex.
About the Role:
The Mobilisation Project Manager will play a pivotable role in the important relationships we have with Primary Care Networks, fellow VCSE providers and Sussex Partnership Foundation Trust.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake a full review of the pathways between the PCN’s across West Sussex and the VCSE providers.
- Promote positive and transparent relationships in line with the Community Mental Health Transformation and the Neighbourhood Mental Health Teams.
- Support the organisation through the mobilisation period of the new contract.
- To support the TUPE process of a new contract.
Person Specification:
To be successful in the role of Mobilisation Project Manager you will need to have great communication skills and be committed to the values of BHT Sussex. Some of the key skills and experience you will need to bring with you include:
- A relevant professional background in the health or social care field and significant management experience within community-based services such as homelessness, addictions and mental health, with high levels of autonomy and accountability with current knowledge of national and local community mental health service transformation programmes.
- Experience of strategic and operational planning and implementation including risk management (identifying and mitigating clinical, operational, reputational and financial risks).
- Experience of effective team leadership, motivation, empowerment, development and coaching of staff for performance results in line with contractual and organisational strategic objectives.
- Experience of effective management of contracts, partnerships, and performance management.
