Hi I am the Operational Manager For BHT- Sussex - Hastings Young Peoples Service. I have worked within this Service since February 2010, I began my career as a Support Worker, Which I done for over 7 years, I very much enjoyed this role and the work I got to do with the Young Adults, supporting them to achieve better outcomes and moving on into there own independent accommodation. 

I then got the opportunity to step up into the Deputy Manager Role which I done for another 5 years before Stepping up into my current Role as the Operational Manager. I have loved working for BHT Sussex, without them I wouldn't have had the opportunities to progress within my roles, and they have supported me throughout. 

Its great BHT - Sussex support people with lived experiences and creating job opportunities for them to progress. In my current role I oversee the support within our 4 projects, offering Housing to Young Adults aged 16 - 25, I think its important to work within a trauma informed approach and be able to connect and engage with the Young Adults, I believe anyone with the right attitude, Patience and passion can go on to become brilliant Support Workers.
